The Resort
Koro Makawa Resort takes only one party at a time. Imagine just you and your partner or you and your family looking down a white, sandy beach as far as you can see and only you are on it – that’s us!
Our luxury accommodation, a single cottage, is tucked into a hill overlooking the beach on the Island of Ono, Kadavu, about 40 minutes south of Fiji’s mainland by air. The twenty acre property is bordered on one side by 400 acres of native land and on the other by a pristine marine reserve. The abundance of oceanic life means there have been many sightings of Pilot Whales, Dolphins, Hammerhead sharks and even Orca’s near the Great Astrolabe Reef.
There are extensive walking trails for you to explore the area during your stay. We also offer excursions to uninhabited nearby islands for a private picnic, bird viewing and snorkeling. We can also arrange for you to visit an authentic local village or school that will expose you to true Fijian hospitality.
Accommodation
Our luxury beach front cottage is designed to accommodate one or two couples or a family. The cottage is surrounded on three sides by a large deck with an infinity plunge pool cascading its spring fed water through to the gardens below. The deck offers an excellent sun bathing location and a great view of the relaxing movement of the Pacific Ocean.
The cottage features two bedrooms, a living room and large bathroom. Each bedroom is appointed with a king size bed with pillow top mattress and is furnished for maximum comfort. The living room offers private dining, tea, coffee and chilled beverage facilities. It also has an extensive book, musical and DVD library for your enjoyment. A large, modern bathroom is accessible by separate entry from each bedroom
Dining & Entertainment
International cuisine, designed specifically for you. Menus are tailored to your tastes and served when and where you choose; your cottage, the main house or at one of several locations around the resort. From a full selection of breakfast items to prime meats, succulent seafood and fresh fruits and vegetables for lunch and dinner, dining at Koro Makawa are occasions you’ll look forward to.
Our menus are tailored for each customer. Before you arrive we will ask you for likes and dislikes and any special dietary requirements. The staff then prepares the menus just for you. Menus featuring gourmet ingredients and preparation are different each day and only repeated if requested. And, our homemade desserts are “to die for”.
