Extensive endemic and imported flowers, vegetables, trees, and orchards abound at Papageno. The Kadavu Shining Parrot, Honey sucker, Fantail, and
the Whistling Dove are found only on Kadavu..

Papageno's unique and spacious Fijian style bures blend island charm and modern comfort, all just steps from the beach and with an array of amenities to make your stay as carefree as possible. All rooms have full and queen beds and are
elegantly furnished. Bures and rooms all have their own showers
with hot water 24/7, toilet and sink. Unlike many other remote resorts
Papageno keeps the electric power on 24 hours for your convenience.

Dining at Papageno is a truly delightful culinary experience! Our talented chef, using only the freshest ingredients, carefully prepares all meals. Enjoy a colorful array of organically homegrown fruits and vegetables as well as free-range eggs, succulent pork from our farm and abundant fresh local seafood. At lunch, teatime and dinner, you will hear a native drum (called a "lali") beaten to summon you to the dining area.

Relax in our intimate island atmosphere. The main plantation house offers several screened sitting rooms, a sunny dining room, which overlooks the water, a small library, and a bar with a cozy lounge for drinks and sunset gatherings

World class Diving

Learn how to scuba dive or upgrade your current skills, from beginner to Dive Master with our PADI certified Dive master. Dive the wreck of the Pacific Voyager. The only wreck near Kadavu Island is sunk just beyond our reef. And the world-renowned Astrolabe Reef is easily accessible with our modern, fully equipped dive boats.
