Qamea Resort & Spa is an intimate boutique resort catering to a maximum of 32 adults, with only sixteen luxuriously appointed and air conditioned Beachfront Bures and exquisite Villas nestled among swaying coconut palms and verdant tropical gardens.
We are the only resort on Qamea Island, set amidst 100 acres of lush tropical landscaped gardens, bush land, and jagged volcanic South Pacific Mountains that soar behind the property. The entire resort fronts onto a private white sand beach over a kilometer in length, and is known as the most spectacular in Fiji’s northern island group. With four swimming pools (three for the private use guests staying in our Villas), the only Guinot spa in the South Pacific, a PADI accredited dive shop, snorkeling just off the resort that has been named as one of the top ten resort snorkel reefs in the world, and daily activities ranging from catered picnic lunches at cascading jungle waterfalls to invigorating coastal and mountain hikes - guests have no need to look far for something exciting and adventurous to do.
Accommodation
All of our accommodation is spacious, ranging in size from 650 to 1,600 sq/ft, with polished local mahogany wood floors, four poster canopy beds, comfortable furnishings with local art and crafts. If privacy is what is sought, our romantically decorated bures and villas, all with outdoor showers, and many with private swimming pools or garden Jacuzzi spa baths, will be where lifelong memories are made.
Dining & Entertainment
The cuisine at Qamea can best be described as South Pacific Rim, which is similar to California Cuisine. Guests can look forward to cuisine that rivals top restaurants anywhere in the world, with an emphasis placed on healthy, low sodium and low fat choices. Our fruits and vegetables are organic and from our own gardens or flown in three times a week from New Zealand. All of our seafood is local, caught daily by our two Qamea fishermen. Our beef and poultry are also flown in from Australia and New Zealand.
For breakfast we have a full menu from which to order; lunch and dinner menus change daily and you will always have a choice of two entrees (starters) and three main courses with at least one vegetarian option. Every afternoon around 4:00 tea and homemade cakes or pastries are served, and snacks are always available between meals.
Qamea offers a full bar service, and with our new temperature controlled wine cellar, an ever growing selection of Australian, New Zealand and California wines. Once a week, usually on Sunday afternoon, we invite guests for a wine tasting at the Bure Kalau. This is a perfect opportunity to sample exceptional wines and meet other guests.
