Accommodation Choices
Taveuni Island Resort offers guests a choice of 12 luxury ocean view bures and one luxury oceanfront villa, each with spectacular views of the Somosomo Straits. All bures are over 100 square metres and constructed from native Taveuni timbers, with floor to ceiling windows on all sides.
Each has a king-sized bed and extends into a lounge with concertina doors opening onto a spacious outdoor living area, taking full advantage of the majestic view of the South Pacific and surrounding Islands. Their decor is tropically inspired, with cool tiles, native floral arrangements and watercolor paintings. Our Matalau Luxury Villa is all-inclusive, includeing all alcoholic beverages. And, Villa guests have their own private chef and waiter staff as well as optional butler service.
Cuisine
All meals are prepared using the resort’s fresh, organically grown herbs, fruits, vegetables and salad ingredients, as well as fresh fish caught by the resort or guests. Sumptuous weekly Fijian and Indian night feasts showcase local delicacies. Our kitchen makes its own mueslis, cookies, cakes, pastas, jams, sauces juices and chutneys; fresh and delicious.
Cocktails and exotic fruit juices are served at sunset, followed by evening meals on The Deck with panoramic views. Couples may arrange for a private dinner-for-two with personal waiter and musician. Special dietary needs can be catered for with prior notice.
Recreation

Guests are offered the opportunity to dive the many sites on the world famous Rainbow Reef, go kayaking and discover isolated romantic beaches, or trek in the Bouma World Heritage Park and spot exotic birds or discover hidden waterfalls in one of the world’s few completely undisturbed tropical island habitats.
