Kadavu Island (kan-dah-voo) is Fiji's fourth largest, situated approximately 45 miles, by air, south of the capital city, Suva. Widely acknowledged as one of Fiji's most unspoiled islands, it has lush rainforests and exotic wildlife, including the strikingly colorful Kadavu parrot.
The island is off the beaten track from Fiji's mainstream tourist attractions and is an ideal location for a holiday offering spectacular scenery, a glimpse of everyday Fijian life and all manner of outdoor activities ….. or a simple, relaxing break.
Tiliva Resort is not a typical holiday destination. It offers unrivalled peace and tranquility in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and is only a 20 minute boat trip from the impressive Astrolabe reef offering unparalleled diving. The surrounding areas, with their crystal clear waters, are unspoiled by general human intrusion.
Tiliva Resort is a small, family run venture situated on the north east side of Kadavu Island. After many years in Europe the proprietors have returned to establish this eco friendly holiday destination.
Your Accomodation
The guest accommodation is self contained chalets (bures) having typical Fijian style high ceilings with full en-suite facilities, ceiling fans and private veranda. They are only yards from the resort's white sandy beach with magnificent views across the bay to the island of Ono. Bures are serviced on a daily basis.
Dining at Tilvia
Guests will enjoy freshly picked tropical fruit and local vegetables from our gardens and experience delicious local island cuisine. All meals are included in the cost of your stay and we have a fully licensed bar. Clear, refreshing drinking water is fresh from the local spring.
In the evening, relax over a sundowner and choose a candlelit dinner on the restaurant veranda overlooking the beach or dine in the main building. On designated nights, guests can also witness scrumptious evening meals being prepared for cooking in traditional underground ovens (lovo). Lovo is a combination of meats and vegetables which emerge from the “oven” with a succulent, lightly smoked taste and will really dazzle your taste buds.
