The Resort
The award-winning Vatulele Island Resort is located on a spectacular island of the Fiji group in the heart of the South Pacific. It is a 25-minute flight from Nadi International Airport.
Vatulele Island is a stunning 31square km (12 square miles) in area and similar in shape to a footprint. Apart from the resort, the only other inhabitants live in 4 native Fijians villages with a population of around 1000 located on the Northern side of the island. These people form most of the resorts staff. They are unspoiled by Western influences, and to the delight of our guests, maintain their natural gentleness and warmth. Their livelihood is sustained through fishing, farming and cloth making. The majority of Fiji’s famous tapa cloth is produced on Vatulele.

Accommodation
Set back from a stunning stretch of white sand beach, 17 Deluxe Beach Villas or bures offer generous personal space with natural architecture, and include internal sitting area, king-size bed and a dressing area off the bathroom. At either end of the resort’s own beach are two oversized villas, The Point and Vale Viqi, providing private retreats surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage complete with commanding views, private pools and full-time personal butler service.
The Deluxe Beach Bures are spacious and private, offering easy access to the water and white sandy beach. Twelve doors open to an expansive terrace; from the living room, you walk up three steps to the bedroom with a gorgeous king-sized bed and a dressing area. All bures offer air-conditioning, mini bar, wine bar, DVD player with flat screen monitor, sound system, hammock and outdoor shower. The bures are located more than twenty metres apart from the next, affording total guest privacy, and surrounded by dense natural jungle. Deluxe Beach Bures with pool have an infinity fresh water pool on the edge of a spacious terrace.

Vatulele Island Resort provides guests the opportunity to experience a range of dining options including private dining in the wine cellar, in the garden restaurant, or on the terrace of the large central pavilion overlooking the lagoon, where the emphasis is on seafood from the Fijian waters and fresh ingredients sourced from the resort’s own organic gardens. The bar provides a perfect setting to relax any time of the day or evening and serves an array of cocktails and healthy drinks. By night, tables are set beneath the stars and lit with lanterns and candlelight. FAMILY WEEKS
