The Resort
Yasawa Island Resort and Spa is an exclusive retreat on one of the most remote and unspoiled islands of Fiji. Just 18 luxury bures (bungalows) are hidden among the palms, each just a few steps from a pristine white beach. Swim in crystal clear waters, dive on vividly colored corals, connect with an ancient culture or indulge in Fiji’s first beachfront spa. Whatever you choose to do at Yasawa, you’ll do it in complete seclusion.
Accommodation
Each air-conditioned bure is superbly fitted in contemporary Fijian style, with a thatched roof, plantation shutters, expansive sun deck, outdoor shower, personal hammock and a private beach hut on the edge of the sands. Bures have cool, open plans and luxury features throughout, from pillow top king beds with Frette bed covers to Bose Wave music systems. Modern bathrooms have a shower for two with a view of the ocean, while the expansive living area has plantation shutters and French doors to the sundeck outside. Every bure offers a fully stocked mini bar, tea and coffee making facility, jars of fresh cookies, an electronic safe, ironing facility, hair dryer and IDD telephone.
Six Bure Suites scattered in pairs among the palms share just one adjoining wall and are positioned for privacy. Yasawa’s 10 Deluxe Bures are vast and free-standing, offering ocean panoramas from inside and out. A split-level design creates separate living and sleeping areas inside, while broad decks and shaded day beds extend the living space outside.
Hidden from the rest of the resort at the end of a deserted white beach, the Honeymoon Bure Lomalagi is a private retreat with its own horizon pool overlooking the ocean. The only thing between Lomalagi and the beach is its magnificent horizon pool, spanning the width of a broad timber sundeck.
Dining & Entertainment
All meals promise contemporary cuisine at every sitting with emphasis on the succulent seafood caught daily in surrounding waters. Lobster plucked from the nearby reefs is a specialty. Dine at the restaurant, on the beach, in your bure or beneath the stars.
Yasawa’s main complex features an al fresco restaurant with 180 degree views of the beach and ocean; a private air conditioned dining room for intimate dinners or small celebrations; and Manasa’s Bar, located poolside with complimentary wireless internet access and Manasa’s signature cocktails. Our wine list includes an excellent choice of the finest wines from Australia and New Zealand along with prestige champagne vintages from France.
